The Kombolcha Bypass Project is a strategic infrastructure development initiative managed by YONAB Construction on behalf of the Ethiopian Road Administration.
This project involves the construction of a new 7.58-kilometer bypass road designed to reroute traffic away from the
heavily congested areas of Kombolcha town.
The new bypass aims to:
• Reduce traffic congestion within the town
• Improve travel efficiency for through-traffic and freight vehicles
• Enhance safety for local residents and road users
• Support economic activity by facilitating smoother regional connectivity
Key construction activities include:
• Road earth works and sub grade preparation
• Paving works with high-standard asphalt
• Construction of drainage systems, culverts, and ancillary structures
• Installation of road safety features including signage and barriers
